Local Community Arkochori

Located at a distance of about 8 km. southwest of Naoussa, at an altitude of 600 m. Founded in 1630, it is one of the oldest settlements which survived at Vermio after consecutive disasters throughout the centuries. Featuring a remarkable, traditional type of residential wealth, today it is a developing centre for tourism and recreation, at a nodal point between Seli Ski Resort, Naoussa and Tria - Pente Pigadia Ski Resort, with small, family type tourist units, taverns and beautiful countryside. 'Kourbani' at the Saint Athanasios festival, and the Prophet Elias celebration are characteristic customs. It has about 350 residents.
